This summer, Memorial Park Conservancy is joining the excitement as Houston prepares to host matches for the FIFA World Cup 2026™ – and we’re kicking things off in a big way!
A giant inflatable soccer ball has officially rolled into the Park, bringing a playful and interactive way for visitors to connect with the global celebration taking place right here in Houston.

The soccer ball won’t stay in one place for long.
Over the coming weeks, this installation will be on the move, appearing in different locations throughout Memorial Park. From open lawns to iconic Park spaces, each stop will offers a new opportunity to snap a photo and experience the energy building around the games.
Whether you stumble upon it during your morning walk or seek it out during a weekend visit, finding the soccer ball is part of the fun!
Celebrating Houston on the World Stage
As one of the host cities for the FIFA World Cup 2026™, Houston will welcome fans and visitors from around the world. This installation is a small way for Memorial Park Conservancy to take part in that moment—bringing a sense of celebration, connection, and community into the Park.
