GirlTrek at Memorial Park – Event postponed due to inclement weather

This weekend’s walk with GirlTrek has been postponed due to adverse weather conditions. We have rescheduled this event to next week, Saturday 4/15. If you have registered, please check your email for updates.

Come join GirlTrek Houston in Memorial Park! GirlTrek is the largest public health movement for Black women and girls in the U.S. We will be hosting wellness hikes and walks in Memorial Park. This is a free event, but space is limited.

When: Saturday, April 8, 2023, at 8:00 am
Meet: Memorial Park – S Picnic Ln, Houston, Texas 77007 (Parking Lot)

Schedule:
8:00 am – Meet & Prep
8:15 am – Begin nature hike on the Green Trail in Memorial Park and the Kinder Land Bridge. (Approximately 3.5 miles)

What to wear: Comfortable attire & closed toe shoes (hiking boots or trail shoes). It’s strongly recommended that you wear a hat or sun protection. Bring water. Snacks at your option.  Hiking poles are recommended. This is a moderate trail with lots of ups and downs and not for beginners.

No children or pets.
