The Living Bridge provides a stunning vista of Kinder Land Bridge and elevates the users above the six lanes of the bustling Memorial Drive, a major traffic artery, which runs through the heart of Memorial Park.
As the seasons change, so too does the landscape, offering a dynamic display of nature’s artistry. In the fall, the foliage transforms into a warm palette of oranges and reds, subtle elegance of dormant foliage creating quiet pockets for small mammals and insects to rest in the cooler months.
Completed in 2009, the Living Bridge not only connects two parts of the Park but also celebrates the harmony between nature and urban life, making it a cherished destination for both locals and visitors alike.

PLANT LIFE
The landscaping features native plants, including expansive areas of Barbados Cherry, a shrub that showcases lovely pink blooms. You’ll also find swaths of Muhly grass with their pink flowers, mixed among various other flowering plants and grasses. In early spring, the Mexican Plum tree delights with its fragrant white blossoms.
