Memorial Park Conservancy invites the community to celebrate Black History Month during Live at Live Oak, presented by H-E-B on February 7 from 4-6 PM. This FREE live concert is part of a music series dedicated to different cultural holidays, highlighting the rich diversity of our community.
Set in Live Oak Court at the Clay Family Eastern Glades, these free concerts bring music, dance, and joy together to celebrate unique cultural traditions. Guests can enjoy live music, family-friendly activities, food, drinks, and more.
Guests can expect an upbeat, interactive show that celebrates Black History Month through music and dance, with live performances by Houston Groove Society and Drumz of Uhuru! Houston Groove Society is a professional, genre-spanning performance collective founded in 2013 by Cedrick Bates, delivering soul-driven music and world-class talent for events while uplifting community, culture, and the arts. Drumz of Uhuru is a dynamic percussion ensemble rooted in African diasporic traditions, dedicated to preserving and evolving cultural rhythms through powerful performances that educate, inspire, and enrich the community.

Outside food and drinks are permitted, but no glass containers are permitted. Seating will be limited at the event, so guests are encouraged to bring their own picnic blankets and lawn chairs.
