DESCRIPTION:  \nMemorial Park Conservancy invites the community to celebrate Black History Month during Live at Live Oak\, presented by H-E-B on February 7 from 4-6 PM. This FREE live concert is part of a music series dedicated to different cultural holidays\, highlighting the rich diversity of our community. \n  \nSet in Live Oak Court at the Clay Family Eastern Glades\, these free concerts bring music\, dance\, and joy together to celebrate unique cultural traditions. Guests can enjoy live music\, family-friendly activities\, food\, drinks\, and more. \n  \nGuests can expect an upbeat\, interactive show that celebrates Black History Month through music and dance\, with live performances by Houston Groove Society and Drumz of Uhuru! Houston Groove Society is a professional\, genre-spanning performance collective founded in 2013 by Cedrick Bates\, delivering soul-driven music and world-class talent for events while uplifting community\, culture\, and the arts. Drumz of Uhuru is a dynamic percussion ensemble rooted in African diasporic traditions\, dedicated to preserving and evolving cultural rhythms through powerful performances that educate\, inspire\, and enrich the community. \n  \nRSVP today and stay tuned for more details about this event! \n  \nAbout the Series\nMemorial Park Conservancy invites the community to celebrate cultural traditions with Live at Live Oak\, presented by H-E-B\, a series of four outdoor live music events\, each dedicated to highlighting the rich diversity of Houston\, celebrating National Hispanic Heritage Month\, Diwali\, Black History Month and Lunar New Year. \n  \nJoin us for evenings filled with live performances\, family-friendly activities\, and the natural beauty of Memorial Park’s Live Oak Court at Clay Family Eastern Glades. Whether you’re gathering the crew\, bringing a date\, or riding solo\, you’ll want to make sure you have these events saved in your calendar. \n  \nLive at Live Oak\, presented by H-E-B\, will continue its concert series in February with a celebration of Lunar New Year. \n  \nFAQ/Know Before You Go\nOutside food and drinks are permitted\, but no glass containers are permitted. Seating will be limited at the event\, so guests are encouraged to bring their own picnic blankets and lawn chairs. Don’t forget to wear comfortable clothing and sunscreen to stay protected while you enjoy the outdoor festivities.
