Biography

Corey moved to Houston to join the MPC team in April 2021. He brings a unique perspective and skill set aimed toward professional turf care and the overall care of Memorial Park. Corey grew up in a suburb of Kansas City and graduated with a dual major from Kansas State University. Shortly after he moved to New York City where he met Meaghan, his now wife. From there, Corey decided to return to school to attend the School of Professional Golf Course and Turf Management at Rutgers’s University. He graduated from Rutgers’s in 2011 and has worked for numerous golf courses around the nation—notably, three years at The Golf Club of Houston during the Shell Houston Open. Most recently Corey held the position of Golf Course Superintendent for 7 years at Elma Meadows Golf Course located near Buffalo, NY. He’s excited to learn more about the City of Houston and grow his family here. When not working, Corey enjoys being a father, fishing, chicken wings, Chiefs Football, and coaching squirts/peewee ice hockey.
