Jeremy Windham joined Memorial Park Conservancy as Communications Manager from American National Insurance Company, a major insurance corporation headquartered on Galveston Island. As a marketing communications and PR professional, Jeremy’s previous experience includes leading creative marketing campaign communication efforts across several platforms and multimedia channels, serving as the managing editor for the corporate magazine Agency Spotlight, and drafting and editing brand identity development strategies via collateral production and social and digital media content storytelling. Additionally, he has worked diligently to devise crisis response solutions, conduct brand awareness research and analysis, and develop community relations by preparing communications for organizational volunteer efforts and sponsorships. In his personal life, Jeremy is passionate about engaging with the community as a writer and musician. While his creative writing has been published and anthologized in several literary journals across the nation, including Portland Review, Southern Humanities Review, and Best New Poets, he is also a violinist with the Galveston Symphony Orchestra and has served as a violin instructor to children at a nonprofit music academy on Galveston Island. A native Houstonian, Jeremy was raised by a family of avid birdwatchers and nature enthusiasts, and has spent a great deal of time visiting local parks and nature trails. He holds a B.F.A. in creative writing and music from Stephen F. Austin State University, and an M.A. in strategic communication from Texas Tech University.
