Biography

Grady joined the Conservancy in 2019 and oversees Memorial Park’s landscapes, horticulture, and grounds. With more than a decade of professional practice in urban horticulture – both in the public and private sector – Grady brings extensive experience in landscape management, horticulture, turfgrass, staff development, capital projects, and park operations. Prior to Memorial Park Conservancy, Grady worked for the Central Park Conservancy where he managed daily operations in Central Park, facilitated training programs for the Institute for Urban Parks, and helped evolve their zone management system to manage the busiest section of Central Park. Grady holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Horticulture from Clemson University, with internships at Augusta National Golf Club and the Arnold Arboretum in Boston. Like most staff members, he loves to get his hands dirty and on weekends is known to help friends with horticulture work in their backyards.
