Biography

Danny joined the Memorial Park Conservancy after working for Davey Tree Experts as a climbing arborist. Prior to that he worked for Agrilife’s Texas Coastal Watershed Program. There he performed field monitoring of the ongoing restoration at Sheldon Lake State Park, lead volunteers in various restoration efforts, and developed plant surveys for wetland mitigation research. Danny graduated with honors from West Virginia University, holding a Bachelor of Science in Forestry. He has worked for Civicorps, a charter school in California, training at-risk young adults in conservation work, and while in West Virginia, he worked for the Forest Service in an entomology lab studying invasive insects. Now back in his home state of Texas, Danny enjoys performing all aspects of conservation, from planning to execution to post-project monitoring, and he enjoys working in the outdoors.
