bridgeBASH Kickoff Success

On Wednesday, November 7, over 300 Memorial Park patrons joined MPC staff and board for conversation, refreshments and music at Mosaic Houston, downtown at Bayou Place.

The MS-150 from Houston to Austin is Saturday, April 21st and Sunday, 22nd marking the finale of months of grueling training for bikers of the greater Houston area. This year 13,000 riders will be participating in the 180-mile ride that benefits the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Memorial Park Conservancy’s Gala – A Sylvan Success
What a perfectly magical Gala night!

Memorial Park is a very popular place and a well-loved park. Memorial Park Conservancy’s First Gala Chairman Madeleine Hussey and committee-members Blaine Adams and Stephanie Fox have proof! Over 400 guests attended this wildly successful first effort to host a fundraising gala on behalf of the park.
After a week of rain and sweltering heat, nature took care of its own and gave the Conservancy the first perfect night of the season to celebrate Memorial Park.

Crestwood Trail Complete!On Saturday, January 21st, 65 volunteers with the Memorial Park Conservancy completed construction of the new Crestwood Trail! This trail now provides a safe, shaded pathway into Memorial Park for all park users arriving from the east. (See Map) Many thanks to all of our incredible volunteers from the HARRA Tornados Running Club and the YES College Preparatory School.
Thanks also to our 60 volunteers from Camp LEAD and the YES College Preparatory School for clearing vegetation for the new Infantry Woods Trail.
